Chapter 1: Introduction of the White Paper
Note on the authors
Cristal Vibrasons is the brand of the company Pascal & Muriel Lacombe SARL. Since 2004, Cristal Vibrasons has been dedicated to therapeutic and spiritual practices specializing in the use of crystal singing bowls. Pascal and Muriel Lacombe are trainers-coaches and therapists who created the platform www.cristalvibrasons.com. They have combined their skills to initiate a new path in sound meditation and the crystalline dimension of Being. They offer and create exceptional crystal instruments.
A crucible for the alchemists of new times
Each era reveals its vibrational and sound tools to accompany the initiate on their path to Awakening.
The wooden didgeridoo guided indigenous peoples in their trances to open the tribe's consciousness to the Worlds of the invisible. The shamanic drum made of animal skin resonated under the yurt and tipi to beat the universal rhythms of Mother Earth, and much later in monasteries, the metal bowl accompanied the meditator's teachings in their services and practices.
Nowadays, the times require a quantum material for a changing world destined to conquer new territories, quartz crystal.
Thus, the crystal singing bowl carries us away with its frequency, purity, and beauty into multidimensionality.
Chapter 2: The Role of Sounds in an Inner Journey
Sound is at the origin of Worlds, as Tradition reminds us. And from seed Sounds was born the Manifestation (the cosmic creation) of which the Earth is an infinitesimal particle. In other words, from the primordial silence, Sound emerges carrying within it the different states of Being (consciousness, thought, love, light, energy, matter).
1/ The practice of Sounds promotes relaxation and meditation
Many have experienced the effects of music in generating relaxation, creating excitement, or experiencing emotions.
Pure Sound, on the other hand, does not pass through the mental and emotional channels. It directly makes our cells vibrate through the water contained in our body and allows us to release tensions.
A relaxed body, a calmer heart rate, and breathing quickly enable our brain to switch to alpha mode or a sophrotonic state. Due to these quick benefits, it is observed that the sound of crystal bowls promotes deep and revitalizing meditative states.
2/ Crystal frequency sounds in therapy
Numerous studies have shown that sounds through notes and their frequencies directly impact people's health.
For example, oncologist Mitchell L. Gaynor published in his book "The Healing Sounds" (published by L'Aigle) his work and reflections on the use of crystal bowls in cancer therapy. According to him, the results are convincing because he found that playing his crystal bowl and chanting mantras or sounds promoted a self-healing environment to limit chemical treatments. The principle is simple yet complex. Sound-energy is guided by the bowl player through their Intention (the Word). It interacts in the most subtle levels (energetic bodies) all the way to the physical body, thanks to the bridges that are the chakras. Regular use of the crystal bowl and intention serve purification, harmonization, and the release of blocking memories.
Therapies and alternative practices (Feng Shui, Reiki, massage, sophrology, music therapy, yoga...) are increasingly using crystal bowls to amplify the benefits of their practice.
3/ The crystalline frequency on our path of spiritual awakening
In all Traditions, Sound is recognized as a springboard towards Silence.
When Sound carries the high vibrational qualities of crystal, Sound facilitates the purification of the different levels of the inner temple. This crystal frequency Sound gradually brings us back in touch with our crystalline dimension where our crystalline identity resides. This presence to Self is pure joy, pure love, pure consciousness. This purity of Being is our deep nature. The crystal vibration is the intrinsic nature of our soul, free from attachments linked to the memories of our Ego.
Playing a crystal bowl in our spiritual practices amplifies our connection to our spiritual dimension because this regular practice naturally recenters and elevates our consciousness. It opens us to the presence I AM.
Chapter 3: The Age of Crystal is Now
Our evolution has gone through the Stone Age, the age of fire, iron, bronze... and fossil fuels, which are said to be coming to an end soon. But did you know that we are in the crystal age? Remove quartz from the smart card and the smart card from electronics, what remains of our digital civilization?
Quartz has 2 fundamental properties that make it so extraordinary:
1°. It is said to be "memorial" because it records information.
2°. It is a semiconductor and therefore retransmits this same information.
Moreover, it has the ability to generate its own energy through piezoelectricity. Today, quartz is part of all our electronic systems.
Used by a technology that is revolutionizing our world, quartz also influences our lives. It is omnipresent in us, in the Earth's crust, and in the cosmos. It was only a small step for this material to contribute to the awakening of consciousness. And this step is currently being taken.
Our changing world is shifting paradigms as well as vibrational frequency.
The electric grid around the Earth has seemingly allowed the first cells to create life, then the magnetic grid has put the planet in close relation with cosmic forces and recently, the activation of the crystalline grid is making us vibrate at the spiritual dimension of Being.
The Earth is increasing its vibrational rate and we, humans, must accompany this movement with radical changes in beliefs and behaviors if we want to see our civilization evolve. A process of mental, vital, and physical purification is gradually taking place through a conscious approach to freeing conditioned memories and other karmic imprints.
The crystal bowl is an instrument dedicated to this inner alchemy, and more and more pioneers are working with this tool in meditation, therapy, and various spiritual practices to reconnect with their crystalline identity.
Chapter 4: Crystal Singing Bowl, Instrument of the New Earth
1/ Origin and making of the singing bowl
Diverted from its primary function as a laboratory crucible by Americans in the 1990s, the crystal singing bowl has seen its shapes and models evolve according to technical possibilities.
Quartz powder (99.995%)* heated to over 3700 degrees F°, molded, centrifuged, and then sandblasted, is used to create a crucible intended for laboratory technicians for their chemistry operations. This crucible withstands very high temperatures as well as significant Ph variations.
2/ The different models: Singing bowl
a. The Basic Model
This laboratory crucible leads to a "basic model" generally called "frosted white," allowing recognition of the notes of the chromatic base and three types of sounds with which we will have affinities: high, medium, and low. These sounds will depend on the diameter, height, and thickness of the singing bowl.
Thanks to this powerful basic model, variations have emerged according to the identified needs, the evolution of technology, and creations inspired by enthusiasts.
It is important to note that synthetic quartz crucibles are also manufactured and marketed. The reader will easily understand that the vibrations will differ depending on whether the quartz is natural or not.
Some even go so far as to recover used crucibles from laboratories to resell them second-hand on merchant sites at prices defying all comparisons. So be cautious!
b. Other Models
Clear bowls are polished and made transparent to obtain a longer sustain (this is the instrument's ability to retain and maintain the sound of a note without it needing to be replayed). The vibrational frequency of this vessel is finer and more subtle.
It is from this model that bowls with sleeves called "practitioner" or "therapist" bowls are made. Their use offers great dexterity and precision of movement. However, it is possible to find frosted white practitioner bowls, although they are rarer.
There are now crystal bowls combining the immaculate whiteness of frosted white and the sound purity of the transparent. A hybrid that, through a double-firing process, revolutionizes vibrational instruments.
And this revolution is underway because other innovations will significantly improve the qualities of the basic model. It is about encoding the quartz by associating particular sought-after qualities. We first find the colored bowls that associate color, notably in correspondence with the chakras.
These singing bowls will emit the color information as chromotherapy teaches us. Because each color has its qualities and its own frequency.
Some bowls are colored with titanium gas, making them wonderfully luminous and iridescent. This is referred to as light codes.
It is important to clarify that mixing gems together does not work despite the claims of some producers and therefore some merchants. For example, quartz and amethyst do not fuse at very high temperatures to retain the purple color of the latter.
This will turn yellow-green because at such fusion temperatures, it will transform its crystalline structure to become citrine. Then the color disappears completely if we continue to heat. Furthermore, some manufacturers claim to add 5% gems to quartz, this operation still needs verification. What we know today is that these types of bowls are actually recolored by chromophore elements, which means they are given a color due to their electronic structure. Moreover, rare earths containing a concentrate of metals can be introduced to achieve coloration tailored to the needs of the industry.
Crystal and metal bowls are manufactured through an electrolysis process. They combine the vibrational qualities of the two realms, providing an incredible range of sensitivities! Each metal has its properties that resonate with quartz.
A revolution: nanotechnology
Crystal bowls colored by nanoparticles? You may have already dreamed of it: colored crystal bowls! In fact, there are different ways to color a quartz vessel. But did you know that today, technology allows the use of nanoparticles for this purpose?
What are the advantages?
Each coloring method, whether surface treatment or within the mass, offers a different spectrum of colors. The result varies depending on the method, with effects like transparent iridescence or darker, mirror, or frosted colors. Each of these methods has advantages and disadvantages.
The major asset of crystal bowls colored by nanoparticles is the guarantee of a color that does not alter with use or time. Additionally, we obtain a spectral response that seems to be in 3D. And the palette of shades is infinite!
Let's try to understand better...
What does nano mean?
In the nano universe, we are at the scale of a billionth of a meter!
You might guess, the nanometer (nm) is used to express dimensions on an atomic scale. Dimensionally, nanoparticles are between macroscopic matter and the atomic or molecular scale. Their size is therefore much smaller than that of a human cell.
The nanometer is also used to express the wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation, particularly the visible spectrum, which ranges between 400 and 800 nm.
How are crystal bowls colored?
The base of these bowls is clear and transparent. Then, nanoparticles color them through a quenching process, using transition metal ions, here silver (Ag). The goal is to precipitate it in aggregate to achieve a clear coloration. It is an ion exchange method relying on the substitution of a quartz ion with a silver ion.
Coloration by silver ion exchange draws on extensive knowledge in the field of nanomaterials. It involves introducing silver ions into the quartz matrix, which will then aggregate to form metallic nanoparticles contained within the same quartz.
A hybrid technology
This technology is complex and hybrid because it borrows from both classical physics and quantum theories. It also involves crystal field theory, which describes the electronic structure of transition metal complexes.
How does it work?
To explain the phenomenon, let's say that when metal ions receive light, they absorb part of the energy carried by the light photons, causing excitation of the electrons in their outer layers. These electrons then move from their ground energy state to higher energy levels. Depending on the gaps between the energy levels, the ion will absorb a certain frequency of the received light and then reemit the complementary color.
Therefore, as many possible energy gaps, as many possible colors!
Inalienable colors:
If they are inalterable, it is due to their manufacturing! Indeed, once the silver is introduced into the crystal bowl matrix, the latter undergoes treatment in a royal water bath (a mix of concentrated hydrochloric acid and concentrated nitric acid, to dissolve noble metals). Then, the metal will distribute evenly in the mix during the next heating. This heating allows the silver atoms to move slightly more within the quartz. When they meet, they will attach to each other: it is the stage of crystal growth leading, little by little, to the formation of aggregates of several hundred or even a few thousand metallic atoms!
How are such precise "mixes" of colors obtained?
In fact, the size of the metallic aggregates will influence the color. Let's take a closer look at their structures and optical properties.
Here, it is no longer atomic absorption of light (absorption by metal atoms or metal ions), but a very particular optical absorption by entire aggregates. This relies on two competing phenomena:
• It is metal, even at the scale of the infinitesimally small: therefore, it absorbs light through inter-band (between the so-called valence band and the conduction band). This generally occurs at rather distant wavelengths, towards the ultraviolet (between 10 and 400 nanometers).
• These are very small aggregates: thus, the number of surface atoms is significant compared to the number of atoms inside. This results in the surface atoms forming with their free electrons a sort of gas, able to resonate with any magnetic radiation, in this case, light, and produce what is called "plasmon resonance."
These magnificent colors are possible thanks to the collaboration of chemists and physicists. This alliance, which allowed the understanding and mastery of material structures on a nanometric scale, has already revolutionized the glass industry, for example.
Today, this advancement reaches quartz crucibles and transforms these manufacturers into an industry where high technology and artisan craftsmanship come together.
An innovative and inspiring technology, serving creativity and humanity...
3/ Uses and techniques
Playing a crystal bowl is not a musical performance, even if it can be combined with other instruments and participate in the creation of concerts, journeys, or sound massages.
Making a quartz singing bowl resonate requires 3 inseparable conditions:
1/ Develop your sensitivity and trust your inner guidance to know when, where, and how long to play it. It is a very intuitive practice that requires using this instrument for your own awakening before using it for others.
2/ Work on your inner Alchemy by accepting the long process of physical, psychic, and spiritual purification. Emitting these crystalline waves means harnessing powerful transformative energies that challenge our ability to question ourselves.
3/ Perfect a way of life through a practice that serves Consciousness, develops Mastery, and recognizes Intention as guiding inspiration.
It also seems essential to learn how to play your bowl. Training, workshops, or other courses are useful for exploring the many daily uses. Here are some examples:
- Raise your vibrational rate according to your daily need.
- Energize water and create elixirs
- Release entities
- Balance and harmonize living spaces
- Purify stones or inanimate objects.
- Accompany your rituals and ceremonies.
- And many other uses that meditators, therapists, musicians, or initiates will find useful for their personal or professional practices.
Different techniques are possible with the so-called "struck" Sound (when the mallet is gently activated on the edge of the bowl) and with the so-called "sung" Sound (when the same mallet is rubbed along the wall of the quartz vessel).
A balance of Yin/yang, softness and firmness, precision and sensitivity is essential to avoid "tearing" the subtle bodies and respecting the rhythms and cycles of the alchemical process.
Let us recall that it is even possible to immerse your crystal bowl in your bathtub or swimming pool to diffuse the crystalline frequency in the liquid. Indeed, Sound travels nearly 5 times better in water than in air!
However, nothing compares to adding the voice with your crystal bowl; this technique is inspired by syntony.
By tuning your voice to the note of your quartz vessel, you will be able to sing with it, chant mantras, and resonate healing Sounds. This Intention (the Word) will be amplified 15,000 times according to Vedic texts that discuss the power of rock crystal.
Moreover, you will easily experience the feeling of unity where you and your voice become ONE with the Sound and universal energy. The body is thus fully engaged in its singing axis to create harmonic chants and Sounds emanating from your own inner universe.
This simple technique requires self-confidence to dare to release your voice and a connection with your own guidance to emit the Sounds suited to the situations.
4/ The other crystal instruments
In this crystal era, of which we are experiencing the first manifestations, it is possible to find a satisfactory range of instruments made from quartz.
The shape of these instruments will give the crystal different waves and offer specific uses.
The first of these is the tuning fork. While we are familiar with metal tuning forks corresponding to organs and their frequencies, today a single quartz tuning fork covers the quantum field of possibilities to directly address the density of matter.
The crystal harp or xylophone also finds its place in emitting subtle frequencies in a harmonious composition of the 8 basic notes of the 440 Hz or 432 Hz scale.
Sacred geometry also aids the creation of vibrational and sound instruments to resonate with the crystal frequency. Galactic sounds emitted by pyramids or holons generate internal states of multidimensional experiences.
Bells, didgeridoos made of quartz are also available from rare retailers as well as different artisanal instruments created by enthusiasts of crystal sound.
Conclusion of the white paper
The crystal bowl is still quite intimate in alternative care practices compared to its metal counterpart. The latter offers many possibilities in horizontality while the quartz bowl opens us up to verticality. They are complementary and require great vigilance to choose and use them wisely. The current metal bowl is far from the 7-metal one that Tibetan legend conveys, yet this commercial proposition still flourishes in specialists' offices.
Choosing your crystal bowl first means knowing your needs, affinities, and discerning its uses because the variety is vast and the cost can sometimes be expensive.
In any case, welcoming a crystalline companion into your home means daring to Awaken and sharing this music of the spheres with those who are ready to discover it. The Times to come will surely vindicate the Men and Women of goodwill who work in the service of the crystalline dimension to establish the foundations of a new Earth.
"As humanity enters a higher expression of its spiritual nature over the next century, and despite all apparent evidence to the contrary, healers will be able to accomplish their work with Sound. And indeed, in the years to come, you will witness a renaissance of medicine using all possible applications of Sound, both technological and intuitive, which involves the use of the voice to effect healing."
